W.A.R. Travel Ukraine (WTU) offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a chance to visit war-time Ukraine, including its conflict zones, and to help the people and armed forces of Ukraine in their essential struggle, where that help is needed most. The experience is not war tourism per se – although it is a tour of a country that is very much at war – but an opportunity to see and experience the effects of war on those most impacted by it and to help them (directly). At its core, the opportunity is to “do good” in the most critical, impactful way.

Although the point is not to have an adventure, the experience is naturally an adventure. Tours are customizable, even being in those parts of Ukraine further away from the war and considered “safe” come with some degree of risk. Of course, visiting the areas closer to the conflict – for example, areas in artillery range of the Russian armed forces – is hazardous. WTU tours are “volunteer excursions,” and more precisely – are adaptable to accommodate different risk profiles and to ensure comfort with the love of adventure inherent in the experience.

WTU complies with all applicable laws and regulations that permit travel of the kind offered by War Travels under certain conditions. Participants are required to bind themselves contractually, under penalty of law, to comply not only with all relevant laws and regulations but also to WAR Travel’s policies and procedures. A written copy of WTU’s policies and procedures is provided to all participants as part of the required half-day orientation (in Krakow) before participants set out for Ukraine.

Specific tour dates are negotiable and will be arranged in consultation with individual participants.
